Stable Hands Equine Assisted Stress Therapy Retreat (EAST)

Dave and Heather have partnered with Jasmine Dos Reis Mendes to bring you the
Stable Hands Equine Retreats.

About Jasmine

Jasmine completed her B.Pysch qualification through PIHE and has been in private practice for 3 years. Jasmine is a qualified Educational Kinesiology Facilitator who will incorporate her expertise into the retreat. Jasmine has an interest in trauma and a passion for promoting women empowerment. Jasmine is an enthusiastic and supportive facilitator who will support the participants throughout the course of the retreat.

Aim of the retreat

The aim of the retreat will be to provide participants with skills to improve stress management. Through practices like selecting, grooming and caring for the horses, participants can explore their own emotions, behaviours and interpersonal skills. Jasmine will help you gain insight into your stress triggers and provide you with skills that can be used daily to mitigate the effects of stress on your life. Participants will also gain valuable insights into themselves, their behaviours and how they can relate both better with others.

What to expect

Stable Hands Retreats combine interactions with horses (on the ground – not horse riding) through which participants explore and expand their emotional intelligence, leadership, communication and influencing capabilities. Working with horses demands the same qualities that make for effective communication and relationships in teams – awareness, clarity, focus, intention, energy, empathy and influence and is a lot of fun!

Costs

Exclusive retreats will be held monthly on a Thursday. R1950 per person including refreshments, materials and a gift. Exclusive groups of only between 6 to 8 pax per retreat. Special rates for bookings of 5 or more persons. In addition to the public Retreats the team at Stable Hands are also available to customise sessions to meet your particular needs and that of your organisations including but not limited to Equine Assisted and Facilitated team building, communication and leadership retreats. Testimonials

The first retreat was held on a Thursday in August with 6 participants. Here are some of their comments:

  • Great day in the outdoors combined with an open environment to express your insecurities and worries. The connection with the horses adds a dimension to the day and adds to the peaceful feeling you end the day with.
